IVF involves several steps that move the process from consultation through transfer. An IVF cycle lasts 6 to 8 weeks on average. The following are the steps of an IVF procedure, roughly speaking:
The process of IVF treatment surgery in Turkey:
Some
steps that are essential for IVF treatment in Istanbul
are.
Initial Consultation: This is where the
actual therapy process begins. It lasts for about an hour. This consultation is
a sort of informational appointment where the patient will discuss her
medical history, meet the doctor, and clear her doubts.
Tests and Exams: The second part,
which takes three to four days, is tests and exams. The tests and exams will
take a few hours to complete. It could take a day or a few days for the results
of the tests, depending on the particular instance of the person.
Follicle Stimulation:
At this stage, the process of getting ready to collect eggs begins. Follicular
growth should occur at a rate of 1.7 mm per day under stimulation.
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone-containing
medications and injections are used to stimulate (LH). It takes 10 to 16 days
to stimulate the follicles.
Egg retrieval: Egg retrieval is carried out 35 to 36 hours after the follicles have achieved the appropriate stage of maturity. Under anesthesia, the egg retrieval operation lasts between 10 and 20 minutes. After being identified and cleaned, the gathered eggs will be dropped in tiny drops onto plastic culture dishes. About 4 hours after egg retrieval, sperm and eggs are combined in a lab (in-vitro), or the sperm is injected into the eggs one at a time. Before one or more of the embryos are implanted into the uterus via the embryo transfer technique, they are cultivated in the IVF facility for an additional 2–5 days. Over the course of 5 to 6 days, the embryo divides and grows its cell population to form a blastocyst. If PGS testing is possible at this point if the patient desires it.
Embryo transfer:
On days 2, 3, or 5 of embryo development, the procedure is typically carried
out. It may be carried out on day 4 or day 6 depending on particular cycle
needs. The actual embryo transfer takes between 15 and 30 minutes and is a
straightforward process. The patient will be allowed about an hour to lie down
and unwind following the transfer.
Pregnancy Test:
You can perform your first pregnancy test 14 days following egg retrieval. Due
to the test result, the first ultrasound can be performed 20 days following the
treatment.
